Clay and Flint support early crafting and village progression, with accessible sources that can change as cave routes open.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Surface deposits around the valley and accessible early Cave chambers, depending on the material and current route access.
Collect the material you actually need by checking surface paths and accessible cave chambers. Keep Clay and Flint as separate targets: a shallow Flint source does not provide the deeper Obsidian, and cave access can expose additional deposits as you progress.
A current recipe, idea, or request to guide how much to collect.
Check which material your craft or village request needs: Clay or Flint.
Walk accessible surface paths near the village and inspect visible resource nodes.
Use the appropriate tool on a node that matches the named material and collect it.
If Flint is still needed, inspect early Cave chambers as routes become accessible.
Gather exposed deposits with the suited tool and note where the resource appears.
Return to the village and store the material for the active idea or recipe.
Repeat a surface or cave pass if you still need additional material.
Farming tips
Match the node to the requested material before spending time gathering; similar-looking resources can serve different purposes.
Keep Obsidian separate from Flint in your plan: it is a deeper cave resource with a different access and tool requirement.
Repeat, collect and use
Gathering available nodes can be repeated as you revisit accessible areas. Deeper cave access depends on progression; no specific node respawn rate is assumed.
Common mistakes
Searching only caves for surface material: check nearby valley paths too.
Confusing Flint with Obsidian: use the material name and cave depth to guide the search.
Using an unsuitable tool: inspect the node and bring the required tool.
When to stop or switch
Stop once you have enough for the current recipe or request; move on to the next needed material rather than gathering without a use.
