WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Your valley farm for the first harvest, then the relevant village contribution or museum prompt shown in game.

When a crop is new, protect one specimen from routine use until you know whether the village collection or contribution goal needs it. This target is about directing the first harvest into community progression; it does not replace planting, seed discovery, or later crop production.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • A discovered crop seed and a farmable tile in its season.
  • A mature crop ready to harvest.
  • Inventory space to reserve the first specimen.
  • Access to the village contribution or collection prompt that accepts the item.
  1. Choose a crop you have not yet recorded or one currently requested by a village prompt.
  2. Confirm its season and plant the discovered seed in a farmable tile.
  3. Water and tend the crop until it is ready to harvest.
  4. Harvest it and set aside one specimen before selling, processing, or eating any of the crop.
  5. Check the active village contribution or museum collection prompt for the crop item.
  6. Take the reserved specimen to the matching prompt and submit it if accepted.
  7. Keep the remaining harvest for seed planning, requests, food, or processing.

Farming tips

  • A first specimen is useful only if the active prompt accepts it; check the displayed request before turning it in.
  • Keep seed and harvest decisions separate: submitting produce does not create another seed.

Repeat, collect and use

Recording or contributing a particular first specimen is a limited goal for that crop or prompt. Growing and harvesting more crops can repeat in the appropriate season.

Common mistakes

  • Using the entire first harvest before checking collection goals: reserve one item first.
  • Submitting to a prompt that does not request the crop: confirm acceptance in game.
  • Assuming contribution automatically restocks seed: use discovered seed or the nursery for planting stock.

When to stop or switch

Stop once the required specimen is accepted or recorded and keep surplus for your next farm goal; switch to another crop if the current prompt is complete.
