CRAFTING & INGREDIENTS

Packaged Nitric Acid acquisition

Make Packaged Nitric Acid in a Packager connected to Nitric Acid and Empty Fluid Tanks.

Packaged Nitric Acid moves Nitric Acid as a solid item. A Packager fills an Empty Fluid Tank with the acid, and unpackaging returns the liquid and the tank. Each standard batch uses 1 m³ of Nitric Acid and 1 Empty Fluid Tank to produce 1 packaged item. The listed output rate is 30 items per minute. Supply the Packager with acid and empty tanks, then route the packaged acid to the process that needs it. A tank return path helps keep production supplied without continually adding new tanks.

How to craft

Before you craft

  • A Packager with the Packaged Nitric Acid recipe available.
  • Nitric Acid and Empty Fluid Tanks delivered to the machine.
  1. Place a Packager where the acid line and tank supply can reach it.
  2. Connect Nitric Acid and deliver Empty Fluid Tanks.
  3. Select Packaged Nitric Acid and verify that the inputs are arriving.
  4. Route the packaged acid to transport or the receiving production line.
  5. For liquid use, select Unpackage Nitric Acid in a Packager.
  6. Return the Empty Fluid Tanks from unpackaging to the packaging supply.

Crafting tips

  • The standard batch consumes 1 m³ of Nitric Acid and 1 tank for 1 packaged item.
  • Use Empty Fluid Tanks, rather than Empty Canisters.

Repeat, collect and use

Keep acid and empty tanks supplied, remove the packaged output, and send returned tanks back to packaging.

Common mistakes

  • Searching for Packaged Nitric Acid at a deposit instead of producing it in a Packager.
  • Using Empty Canisters or expecting packaging to create Nitric Acid.

When to stop or switch

Stop when the receiving process has enough packaged acid, or when Nitric Acid should be sent to another use.
