- 25 sticks for the Fish Trap blueprint, or a spear for direct catching.
- Access to water with visible fish.
- Fire or drying rack to process the catch.
Fish provide a practical food supply when you have access to a stream or lake and can be cooked or dried for later trips.

Choose a water source where fish are visible before setting up a trap. A Fish Trap uses 25 sticks and is a separate catch method from spearfishing. Traps can be placed in rivers and streams, while a spear lets you catch fish directly in shallow water. Process the catch at camp by cooking it or drying it.
The trap is reusable and can provide repeat catches, but catches are not guaranteed on a fixed schedule; spear fishing can be repeated when fish are present.
Stop spending sticks on additional traps once your current water spot supports the food you need; move to another visible-fish site if it remains unproductive.

A well-placed Fish Trap turns a visible-fish water spot into a repeatable food check that fits ordinary base returns.
Animal meat and fish provide food for expeditions; collecting and preserving surplus reduces reliance on opportunistic finds.
Drying excess meat and fish preserves food for later trips and makes a hunt or fishing visit useful beyond the immediate meal.
Planters let you turn gathered seeds into a local supply of berries or herbs, reducing the need to find every plant in the wild.
