WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Outdoor tilled farm plots during the crop’s valid season.
Plan rows and paths before planting trellis crops, then maintain watering and harvest access throughout the crop’s season.
Before you go Seeds or starters for a trellis crop such as Green Bean, Hops, or Grape. Prepared field with enough room to leave walking lanes. Watering Can or sprinkler plan for all planted tiles. Choose the trellis crop and confirm its valid season and remaining growth time. Sketch the plot as rows separated by walking access before tilling or planting. Leave a reachable route to every trellis tile you will need to tend or harvest; vines cannot be walked through. Till the planned tiles, plant the seeds, and water them on planting day. Water daily or confirm sprinkler coverage, checking that access lanes remain clear. Harvest the crop when ready without walking through the trellises. For crops that produce repeatedly, leave them in place and keep watering until the season ends. Farming tips Plant trellises along field edges or in separated rows to keep interior crops accessible. Do not expand the plot by filling every gap; an open lane is more useful than an unreachable plant. Repeat, collect and use Repeat the layout for each seasonal planting. Multi-harvest trellis crops continue producing while watered and in season; other crops yield once.
Common mistakes Planting a solid trellis block that seals off interior tiles; leave walkable lanes before sowing. Assuming trellises can be crossed during harvest; arrange the path around them. Failing to check season length; late plantings may not mature before the seasonal transition. When to stop or switch Stop adding trellises once all desired tiles remain reachable and watered; switch to a non-trellis layout if access becomes awkward.
