WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Lafargue’s Grandmaster Smith workshop in Beauclair, Toussaint.
Grandmaster pieces are crafted by the Grandmaster Smith in Toussaint, not obtained as finished equipment from the diagram hunts. This is the fifth Witcher gear tier and requires Blood and Wine; level 40 is required to equip the items. The smith can make the eligible armor and sword pieces when you bring the diagrams and materials. Costs can be substantial, so pick a set that supports your build, sell surplus loot to fund gaps, and make only the pieces you intend to use. Witcher gear crossbows have no upgrade diagrams, and the Viper set cannot be upgraded to Grandmaster.
Collect the Grandmaster diagrams for the pieces you plan to make.
Reach level 40 to equip the resulting gear.
Gather the required crafting materials and crowns.
Review your build and select a Witcher school set before spending on components.
Visit Lafargue in Beauclair and inspect the recipes for the Grandmaster pieces you want.
Compare the materials you already own with the components still required.
Gather missing materials through crafting, deconstruction, or purchase where available.
Bring the diagrams and components to Lafargue and craft the selected armor and weapon pieces.
Equip them at level 40 or later and compare the result with your current equipment.
Return to the smith for additional pieces only if their set bonuses or stats support your plan.
Farming tips
Many components can be bought from Lafargue, while some monster-related materials must be produced by deconstructing other parts.
Make the set as a coherent project; buying materials for unused pieces can consume crowns needed elsewhere.
Repeat, collect and use
Crafting is repeatable for additional eligible pieces when you have diagrams and materials, but acquiring each diagram is a one-time hunt. This is a production process, not an enemy respawn farm.
Common mistakes
Do not expect to craft from a diagram alone; check and collect the recipe’s materials first.
Do not plan around a Grandmaster Viper upgrade or an upgrade diagram for a Witcher crossbow; these upgrades are unavailable.
Do not confuse crafting availability with equip level; the gear requires level 40 to wear.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have crafted the intended pieces and their bonuses serve your build; gather only further components for a specific replacement or second set.
