Where to farm

The ruined castle on Urialla Isle, reached from Urialla Harbor by following the route toward Trail to Yngvar’s Fang.

The basic Ursine armor diagrams are found in a ruined castle on Urialla Isle in Skellige. This is a one-time exploration objective that opens a distinct crafting project: collect the diagrams, bring the required materials to a smith, and make the heavy armor when its level requirement suits Geralt. The set’s armor diagrams are separate from its weapon and crossbow diagrams, so plan those as additional hunts. After crafting the basic pieces, Ibrahim Savi’s maps from the Kaer Trolde armorer lead to later armor upgrade diagrams.

How to farm

Before you go

Reach Skellige and travel to Urialla Harbor.
Be ready for the rabid rock troll and sirens along the approach.
Have access to an armorer or blacksmith who can craft the basic Ursine armor.
Carry the materials listed by the armor recipes.

Travel from Urialla Harbor toward the Trail to Yngvar’s Fang signpost.
Follow the cliff path and deal with or evade the troll and sirens that guard the approach.
Enter the ruined castle and navigate its interior to the throne-room area.
Open the chest beside the throne and collect the basic Ursine armor diagrams and associated notes.
Read the notes to unlock any related weapon diagram leads you intend to pursue.
Visit a capable armorer or blacksmith and inspect the four armor recipes.
Gather missing components and craft the armor pieces when you meet the level requirement.

Farming tips

The basic armor diagrams do not automatically provide the swords or crossbow; treat those as separate searches.
Check the crafting recipes before the expedition so you know whether you have enough room and materials for the set.

Repeat, collect and use

Finding the castle diagrams is one-time. Crafting can be repeated only if you collect the listed materials again; the chest is not a farm reset.

Common mistakes

Do not assume the Ursine armor is immediately wearable; its basic tier has a level 20 requirement.
Do not leave the chest without reading the documents if you want the weapon-location clues.
Do not expect the armor chest to contain every Ursine weapon diagram.

When to stop or switch

Stop after crafting the armor pieces you can use; move to the map-led upgrade hunts when you are ready to improve the set.
