CRAFTING & INGREDIENTS

Ficsonium Fuel Rod acquisition

Produce the rod in a Quantum Encoder with the recipe available. It is a manufactured fuel item, not a resource node product.

Ficsonium Fuel Rods are made in a Quantum Encoder and used as fuel in Nuclear Power Plants. The listed recipe consumes 2 Ficsonium, 2 Electromagnetic Control Rods, 40 Ficsite Trigons, and 20 m³ Excited Photonic Matter per 24-second cycle. It produces one Fuel Rod and 20 m³ Dark Matter Residue. At 100% clock, the machine makes 2.5 rods and 50 m³ residue per minute. The advanced input supply and the residue outlet both need planning. The Fuel Rod is moderately radioactive, so include appropriate handling and storage in the production plan.

GET STARTED

How to craft

Before you craft

  • Ficsonium Fuel Rod recipe and a Quantum Encoder.
  • 2 Ficsonium, 2 Electromagnetic Control Rods, 40 Ficsite Trigons, and 20 m³ Excited Photonic Matter per batch.
  • An outlet or storage capacity for 20 m³ Dark Matter Residue per batch.
  1. Make the Fuel Rod recipe available and place or select a Quantum Encoder.
  2. Supply the recipe's four inputs at their listed batch amounts.
  3. Provide separate handling for the solid Fuel Rod and the Dark Matter Residue coproduct.
  4. Run the 24-second cycle and collect one rod and 20 m³ Dark Matter Residue.
  5. Handle the radioactive rod appropriately and route it to a Nuclear Power Plant if that is your intended use.

Crafting tips

  • At 100% clock, balance inputs at 5 Ficsonium, 5 Electromagnetic Control Rods, 100 Ficsite Trigons, and 50 m³ Excited Photonic Matter per minute.
  • Plan for 50 m³ Dark Matter Residue per minute at 100% clock so the coproduct outlet does not block production.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat batches while all inputs are available and the residue outlet and radioactive-material handling plan have capacity.

Common mistakes

  • Counting Dark Matter Residue as a recipe input; it is an output coproduct.
  • Ignoring the large Ficsite Trigon requirement or the residue produced each cycle.
  • Handling the Fuel Rod as ordinary nonradioactive inventory.

When to stop or switch

Stop when your fuel reserve is sufficient or residue handling or radioactive-material capacity approaches its planned limit.
