Nobelisk is an explosive used to clear boulders, vegetation, and other obstacles. Manufacture it in an Assembler from Black Powder and Steel Pipe; there is no Nobelisk deposit to find. Nobelisks also serve as ingredients in several specialized explosive variants, including Pulse, Gas, Cluster, and Nuke Nobelisks. The practical bottleneck is the pair of ingredient supplies and having a Nobelisk Detonator available for handling and detonation. The default recipe takes six seconds and consumes two Black Powder and two Steel Pipe to make one Nobelisk. Clear the area before using explosives near valuable structures.

How to craft
Use an Assembler after unlocking the recipe and machine. Bring Black Powder and Steel Pipe from their separate production lines, then carry the finished Nobelisk for use with its detonator. For remote handling and detonation, craft and equip the Detonator separately.
Before you craft
Assembler and Nobelisk recipe unlocked
2 Black Powder and 2 Steel Pipe per cycle
Nobelisk Detonator for remote handling and detonation
Unlock the Nobelisk recipe and build an Assembler.
Produce or collect Black Powder and Steel Pipe through their own supply chains.
Feed 2 of each ingredient to the Assembler per cycle, and keep both input lines available.
Run the six-second recipe to make one Nobelisk, then move the explosive to your inventory or storage.
Place the explosive and use the Nobelisk Detonator when ready to clear an obstacle; check the blast area first.
Crafting tips
At 100% clock, the recipe uses 20 Black Powder and 20 Steel Pipe per minute for 10 Nobelisks per minute.
Clear nearby FICSIT property from the blast area before detonation.
Base Nobelisks are used in several variants, but each variant has its own recipe and unlock.
Repeat, collect and use
Make another batch when your carried supply is low or when a downstream Nobelisk variant recipe needs base explosives. Recheck the intended quantity before making a large surplus.
Common mistakes
Searching for a Nobelisk resource node instead of assembling the item.
Detonating before checking that valuable structures and equipment are clear of the blast zone.
Assuming a variant recipe is available before it has been unlocked.
When to stop or switch
Stop production once you have the explosives needed for the obstacle or planned variant recipe.
