CRAFTING & INGREDIENTS

Black Powder acquisition

Manufacture Black Powder in an Assembler using Coal and Sulfur. It is not a raw resource node itself.

Black Powder is an explosive powder used to make simple explosives. The default recipe runs in an Assembler and makes 2 Black Powder from 1 Coal and 1 Sulfur per batch. At a 100% clock, it completes 15 batches per minute, consuming 15 Coal and 15 Sulfur per minute to produce 30 Black Powder per minute. That paired solid input supply is the central bottleneck; the line slows if either ingredient runs short. Black Powder feeds the Nobelisk recipe in an Assembler and Smokeless Powder in a Refinery. Confirm that the recipe and Assembler are unlocked before production; no unlock tier is provided.

GET STARTED

How to craft

Before you craft

  • Unlock the Black Powder recipe and Assembler.
  • Supply Coal and Sulfur with transport to the machine.
  1. Place and power an Assembler, then select Black Powder.
  2. Connect a Coal supply to one input.
  3. Connect a Sulfur supply to the other input.
  4. Collect the powder output and route it to Nobelisk or Smokeless Powder production.
  5. Monitor both input buffers while comparing output against the 100% clock rate.

Crafting tips

  • At 100% clock, budget equal item rates of 15 Coal/min and 15 Sulfur/min.
  • Keep Black Powder storage sized for its explosive crafting demand.

Repeat, collect and use

Continue feeding both ingredients while Black Powder is needed by downstream recipes.

Common mistakes

  • Do not expect an Assembler to run with only Coal or only Sulfur.
  • Do not confuse the 2-item batch output with a single Black Powder per cycle.

When to stop or switch

Stop production when your explosive or Smokeless Powder lines have enough Black Powder for their planned demand.
