CRAFTING & INGREDIENTS

Rotor acquisition

Rotor is a manufactured part with no resource deposit. Unlock its recipe and an Assembler, then route Iron Rods and Screws into the machine.

Rotors are moving components used in Motor, Smart Plating, and several equipment or vehicle recipes. Make them in an Assembler from Iron Rods and Screws. At 100% clock, one machine consumes 20 rods and 100 screws per minute to produce four Rotors per minute, making screw supply a common bottleneck.

GET STARTED

How to craft

Before you craft

  • Unlock the Rotor recipe and Assembler.
  • Iron Rods and Screws.
  1. Produce or collect Iron Rods and Screws for the line.
  2. Place an Assembler and select Rotor.
  3. Connect the two ingredient feeds and check their rates.
  4. Run the Assembler and collect each Rotor output.
  5. Deliver Rotors to Motor, Smart Plating, or the relevant equipment recipe.
  6. Expand screw production if the Rotor machine repeatedly starves.

Crafting tips

  • Each batch consumes five Iron Rods and twenty-five Screws for one Rotor.
  • Keep some output in reserve if multiple downstream recipes share the same Rotor supply.

Repeat, collect and use

Review Rotor demand and ingredient throughput as consumers are added, then scale the limiting input and assembly capacity.

Common mistakes

  • Searching for Rotors in a resource deposit rather than manufacturing them.
  • Assuming an Iron Rod surplus can make up for missing Screws.

When to stop or switch

Stop adding Rotor production when all intended consumers receive the required steady flow.
