Screws are a basic manufactured part used in Reinforced Iron Plates, Rotors, Heavy Modular Frames, and some equipment crafting. The default route starts with Iron Rods and uses a Constructor. Rod supply is often the practical bottleneck; plan the rod line before adding screw machines, and account for the needs of other parts that also use rods. Screws have no world deposit: they are crafted from processed Iron Rods or through an alternate recipe if you have unlocked one.

How to craft
Unlock the default Screws recipe, then feed Iron Rods into a Constructor. Each batch consumes 1 Iron Rod and produces 4 Screws. At 100% clock, the listed rate is 40 Screws per minute from 10 Iron Rods per minute.
Before you craft
Constructor and Screws recipe unlocked.
Iron Rod input.
Build or select a Constructor and connect power.
Choose the default Screws recipe.
Connect Iron Rods to its input and verify that the material is accepted.
Route the output to storage or directly to an Assembler or Manufacturer that needs Screws.
Watch the rod supply and adjust upstream Iron Rod production if the Constructor pauses.
Add another Constructor only when the rod line and downstream demand can support it.
Crafting tips
Use a nearby container as a buffer if screw demand varies.
Keep screw production aligned with the specific recipes consuming the parts instead of filling storage without a target.
Alternate recipes such as Cast Screws and Steel Screws have different ingredients and rates; use them only if unlocked.
Repeat, collect and use
Keep the Constructor running while rods arrive and downstream demand or the storage target remains unmet.
Common mistakes
Searching for Screws at an ore node; they are made from Iron Rods.
Assuming a screw machine can run when the rod supply is already committed to other production.
When to stop or switch
Stop or reduce production when the destination stock target is met or Iron Rods are needed elsewhere.
