CRAFTING & INGREDIENTS

Cable acquisition

Make Cable in a Constructor from Wire. Cable is not a raw resource deposit.

Cable is a crafted material used in construction, especially for Power Lines, and in several production recipes. A Constructor converts 2 Wire into 1 Cable per batch. At a 100% clock, it consumes 60 Wire per minute and produces 30 Cable per minute. Make sure Wire production and delivery can support the target Cable output, then route the Cable to construction storage or to a downstream machine. Optional alternate recipes can produce Cable differently if you have unlocked them, but the standard route uses Wire in a Constructor.

GET STARTED

How to craft

Before you craft

  • Unlock the Cable recipe and Constructor.
  • Supply Wire and power the Constructor.
  1. Place and power a Constructor, then select the standard Cable recipe.
  2. Connect a Wire supply to the Constructor input.
  3. For a 100% clock, provide up to 60 Wire per minute.
  4. Collect Cable from the output and route it to Power Line construction or a downstream recipe.
  5. Check output storage and Wire delivery if the machine pauses or backs up.

Crafting tips

  • Keep a reserve for building projects if automated recipes also consume Cable.
  • Increase Wire supply if the Constructor repeatedly waits for input.

Repeat, collect and use

Run the Constructor while Cable is needed, keeping Wire supply matched to your chosen production rate.

Common mistakes

  • Do not feed raw Copper Ore into the standard Cable recipe; it needs Wire.
  • Do not plan a 1:1 ratio: each Cable consumes 2 Wire.

When to stop or switch

Throttle or stop production when your Cable reserve is full and downstream demand is covered.
