CRAFTING & INGREDIENTS Liquid Biofuel acquisition Use a Refinery for production from Solid Biofuel and Water, or a Packager to unpackage existing Packaged Liquid Biofuel.
Liquid Biofuel is a fluid that can generate power directly or be packaged for vehicle use. You can make it in a Refinery from Solid Biofuel and Water, or recover it by unpackaging Packaged Liquid Biofuel in a Packager. The Refinery recipe consumes 6 Solid Biofuel and 3 m³ Water to produce 4 m³ Liquid Biofuel per batch. The Packager recipe consumes 2 packaged items and returns 2 m³ Liquid Biofuel plus 2 Empty Canisters. Keep both the fluid and item outputs clear so the selected route can continue running.

Before you craft Unlock the intended recipe and its Refinery or Packager. Refinery route: 6 Solid Biofuel and 3 m³ Water per batch. Unpackaging route: 2 Packaged Liquid Biofuel per batch, with room for 2 m³ fluid and 2 Empty Canisters. Choose whether to produce Liquid Biofuel or unpackage an existing supply. For production, build and power a Refinery and select Liquid Biofuel. Connect Solid Biofuel and Water to the Refinery and route the fluid output. For unpackaging, use a Packager with Unpackage Liquid Biofuel selected. Connect packaged input, a fluid output for Liquid Biofuel, and an item output for Empty Canisters. Use the resulting fluid for power or package it for vehicle use when the relevant recipe is available. Crafting tips At 100% clock speed, the Refinery recipe uses 90 Solid Biofuel and 45 m³ Water per minute to produce 60 m³ Liquid Biofuel. At 100% clock speed, unpackaging uses 60 packaged items per minute and returns 60 m³ Liquid Biofuel and 60 Empty Canisters. Clear the Empty Canister output to prevent the Packager from backing up. Repeat, collect and use Keep inputs available and clear the fluid and item outputs. Reuse or remove empty canisters so unpackaging can continue.
Common mistakes Expecting Liquid Biofuel to come from a natural deposit instead of a recipe. Confusing the Refinery production route with the Packager unpackaging route. Ignoring the Empty Canister output and allowing it to block the Packager. When to stop or switch Stop when your fuel reserve is sufficient or when the selected route no longer has input or output capacity.
