CRAFTING & INGREDIENTS

Empty Canister acquisition

Select Empty Canister in a Constructor and send its output to a Packager running a desired packaged-fluid recipe. Supply the Packager with the corresponding fluid.

A Constructor makes Empty Canisters from Plastic. Each batch consumes 2 Plastic and yields 4 Canisters. At 100% clock, it uses 30 Plastic and produces 60 Canisters per minute. Packagers use them with fluids to make packaged products, including Packaged Alumina Solution, Fuel, Turbofuel, Liquid Biofuel, and Oil. For a working packaging line, supply both the containers and the matching fluid, and provide an output route for the packaged product.

GET STARTED

How to craft

Before you craft

  • Empty Canister recipe and Constructor.
  • Plastic delivered to the Constructor.
  • Packager, intended packaging recipe, and corresponding fluid supply.
  1. Build a Constructor and select Empty Canister.
  2. Connect Plastic to its input and provide an open output route.
  3. At 100% clock, supply 30 Plastic per minute for 60 Canisters per minute.
  4. Connect the Canister supply to a Packager configured for the intended packaged product.
  5. Supply that Packager with the matching fluid and route packaged output away.
  6. Check container and fluid availability if packaging stops.

Crafting tips

  • The batch ratio is 2 Plastic to 4 Empty Canisters.
  • Empty Canisters can also be made manually in the Equipment Workshop.
  • Packaged Oil, Fuel, Turbofuel, Liquid Biofuel, and Alumina Solution are listed uses.

Repeat, collect and use

Balance Constructor output with Packager consumption and keep the matching fluid flowing.

Common mistakes

  • Do not search for Empty Canister nodes; manufacture them from Plastic.
  • Do not expect a Packager to run on Empty Canisters alone; it also needs the relevant fluid.

When to stop or switch

Stop adding Constructor capacity when Packager demand is covered and the Canister buffer does not keep growing.
