Alumina Solution is a liquid used to make Aluminum Scrap, among other products. One way to obtain it is to unpackage Packaged Alumina Solution in a Packager: each batch consumes 2 packaged units and produces 2 m³ of liquid solution plus 2 Empty Canisters. At 100% clock speed, that is 120 packaged units consumed and 120 m³ of solution and 120 Empty Canisters produced per minute. The liquid and canisters need separate output routes. For fresh production from Bauxite and Water, use the standard Refinery recipe instead; unpackaging only converts packaged solution back into liquid.

How to craft

Build a Packager, select Unpackage Alumina Solution, and connect Packaged Alumina Solution to its input. Route the liquid output to a tank or process, and send Empty Canisters to storage or back into a packaging line.

Before you craft

Supply Packaged Alumina Solution to the Packager input.
Connect the liquid output to a fluid line or storage tank.

Send Alumina Solution to Aluminum Scrap production or another process that uses it.
Check both outputs regularly so a full tank or blocked canister route does not stop the Packager.

At 100% clock speed, the Packager consumes 120 packaged units per minute and produces 120 m³ of Alumina Solution and 120 Empty Canisters per minute.
The standard Refinery recipe makes 12 m³ Alumina Solution and 5 Silica from 12 Bauxite and 18 m³ Water per batch.

Repeat, collect and use

Keep packaged solution arriving, clear both outputs, and return Empty Canisters if you are packaging solution again.

Common mistakes

Expecting unpackaging to make solution from Bauxite; this recipe requires Packaged Alumina Solution.
Ignoring the Empty Canister output until storage fills and blocks the machine.
