CRAFTING & INGREDIENTS

Packaged Water acquisition

Extract Water from a source or well, then connect it and Empty Canisters to a Packager. Route the packaged output to transport or its receiving process.

Packaged Water moves Water as a solid item. A Packager uses 2 m³ of Water and 2 Empty Canisters to produce 2 packaged items; the listed output rate is 60 items per minute. Unpackaging returns the Water and canisters. Extract Water from a water source or well, then bring it to the Packager with a canister supply. The optional Alternate: Diluted Packaged Fuel recipe also uses Packaged Water and requires its own unlock. Keep the extraction line and canister return path in mind when placing the machine.

GET STARTED

How to craft

Before you craft

  • A Packager with the Packaged Water recipe available.
  • Water and Empty Canisters supplied to the Packager.
  • Unlock Alternate: Diluted Packaged Fuel separately if you plan to use it.
  1. Choose a water source or well that can supply the desired location.
  2. Build the appropriate water extraction structure and connect its output to the Packager.
  3. Supply Empty Canisters and select Packaged Water.
  4. Check that Water and canisters are arriving, then route packaged output to its destination.
  5. Select Unpackage Water in a Packager to recover Water and Empty Canisters.
  6. Return the canisters to a packaging input; unlock the alternate recipe separately if needed.

Crafting tips

  • The standard batch consumes 2 m³ Water and 2 canisters and yields 2 items.
  • Unpackaging returns both Water and Empty Canisters.

Repeat, collect and use

Keep Water and canisters supplied, clear the packaged output, and return canisters from unpackaging.

Common mistakes

  • Searching for Packaged Water at a deposit instead of extracting water and packaging it.
  • Assuming Diluted Packaged Fuel is the default recipe or feeding the Packager without Empty Canisters.

When to stop or switch

Stop when the destination's packaged water supply is sufficient, or when Water and canisters need to serve another line.
