CRAFTING & INGREDIENTS

Sulfuric Acid acquisition

For unpackaging, build a Packager and select Unpackage Sulfuric Acid. Feed it Packaged Sulfuric Acid and connect both the fluid and item outputs.

Sulfuric Acid is a liquid used in refinement and production chains, including Batteries. One way to obtain it is to unpackage Packaged Sulfuric Acid in a Packager. This recipe produces both liquid acid and Empty Canisters, so set up space for each output before starting. You can also make acid in a Refinery by combining Sulfur and Water.

GET STARTED

How to craft

Before you craft

  • A Packager with Unpackage Sulfuric Acid available.
  • Packaged Sulfuric Acid delivered to the machine.
  • Routes or storage for Sulfuric Acid and Empty Canisters.
  1. Build and power a Packager near your packaged acid supply.
  2. Select Unpackage Sulfuric Acid in the recipe list.
  3. Connect Packaged Sulfuric Acid to the item input.
  4. Connect the fluid output to a pipe, tank, or acid consumer.
  5. Route the Empty Canisters to storage or another use so they do not block the output.
  6. Send the acid to a production line or store it for later.

Crafting tips

  • Each batch consumes 1 Packaged Sulfuric Acid and produces 1 m³ Sulfuric Acid plus 1 Empty Canister.
  • At 100% clock, the recipe outputs 60 m³ acid and 60 Empty Canisters per minute.
  • The standard Refinery recipe instead consumes 5 Sulfur and 5 m³ Water to produce 5 m³ Sulfuric Acid.

Repeat, collect and use

Keep packaged feed available and clear both outputs. Continue unpackaging while acid is needed.

Common mistakes

  • Feeding loose Sulfur and Water to the Packager recipe, which requires Packaged Sulfuric Acid.
  • Ignoring the Empty Canister output or leaving the acid fluid output without capacity.

When to stop or switch

Stop when your acid storage or consumers are supplied, or when either output route needs clearing.
