Non-Fissile Uranium is a mildly radioactive intermediate used to make Plutonium Pellets and, with an optional alternate unlock, Encased Plutonium Cells. Its default recipe runs in a Blender and consumes Uranium Waste, Silica, Nitric Acid, and Sulfuric Acid. It also returns Water as a fluid coproduct, which needs an output route. Uranium Waste supply is the central bottleneck: it is generated by nuclear fuel consumption, so keep radioactive handling and downstream capacity planned before starting the line. The default 24-second cycle produces 20 Non-Fissile Uranium and 6 m³ Water from the listed inputs.

GET STARTED
How to craft
Produce it in a Blender once the recipe and building are unlocked. Route the listed waste, solids, and acids to the machine and connect a pipe for recovered Water. Plan the output route and downstream use before expanding production.
Before you craft
Blender and default recipe unlocked
15 Uranium Waste, 10 Silica, 6 m³ Nitric Acid, and 6 m³ Sulfuric Acid per cycle
Water output handling
Set up safe handling for Uranium Waste from nuclear fuel consumption before routing it to production.
Supply 15 Uranium Waste and 10 Silica to the Blender per cycle.
Connect Nitric Acid and Sulfuric Acid at 6 m³ each per cycle.
Pipe the 6 m³ Water coproduct away from the Blender so the output can keep flowing.
Send Non-Fissile Uranium to Plutonium Pellet production or an optional alternate recipe after unlocking it.
Crafting tips
At 100% clock, the 24-second recipe uses 37.5 Uranium Waste, 25 Silica, and 15 m³ of each acid per minute.
It outputs 50 Non-Fissile Uranium and 15 m³ Water per minute; plan for both outputs.
The alternate Fertile Uranium recipe has different inputs and rates. It requires a separate unlock and should not be used for default recipe calculations.
Repeat, collect and use
Continue while the Plutonium line needs material, checking waste supply and both acid feeds before each expansion. Keep water removal and radioactive handling capacity in step with Blender output.
Common mistakes
Treating Non-Fissile Uranium as a raw node resource or assuming it can be made without Uranium Waste.
Ignoring radioactivity or allowing the Water coproduct to back up.
Using the default ingredient quantities to configure an alternate recipe.
When to stop or switch
Stop the Blender when downstream Plutonium demand is met or safe waste and output handling capacity is full.
